TTCU is a non-profit organization and is the second largest credit union in Oklahoma. The credit union serves 14 counties in the state, including Washington, Wagoner, Rogers, Ottawa, Okmulgee, Nowata, Mayes, Delaware, Cherokee, Craig, Adair, Osage, Creek, and Tulsa.
Most of TTCU’s customers work in education. The following people can use TTCU’s services:
Membership is also available for those who are members of professional educators’ associations or sit on governing boards of affiliated education institutions.
Rates Offered by TTCU Online Banking Login
Across the board, people rave about the interest rates offered by TTCU. Loans made by the credit union come at affordable rates for the thriftiest of borrowers.
Keep in mind that this fact is taken on the faith of the reviews in question. We were unable to find factual information regarding TTCU’s interest rates for loans as they have not made such information public. But people rarely post positive reviews with such a specific purpose without being honest. What would their incentive be to do so?
Of course, some companies do pay for positive reviews of products and services. Most banks probably don’t need to do this since they already have plenty of customers. And to be fair, this credit union has its share of negative reviews, some of them as low as one out of five stars.
Let’s look at some of those reviews.
Public Perception Of TTCU Online Banking Login
On WalletHub.com, TTCU online banking has 16 reviews, with the average review rating being 3.8 out of 5 stars. Fifty percent of the total reviews are 5-star reviews.
One WalletHub user named “Gregory_Bothe” describes the bad experience he had with purchasing a car loan from TTCU. According to this user, the credit union failed to set up auto pay for his account and “harassed” him about his insurance coverage.
He claims his insurance company had sent the credit union all of the appropriate information. Gregory_Bothe ended his one-star review by voicing his intent to refinance his auto loan with another organization.
On a similar note, user “sdbaker348” notes that although most banking with TTCU didn’t involve anything out of the ordinary, the “procedures make it very difficult to change autopay information” when it comes to auto loans. Note that this is the same area the previous user described having trouble with.
In addition, sdbaker348 found it impossible to change to a different banking institution after having relocated because he or she was unable to do so using the TTCU online banking login. Sdbaker348 gives TTCU three out of five stars.
User “_hawkins2428” has been using TTCU for 23 years. He or she says that there were never any major issues with them and “when there’s a mistake it was always fixed quickly.” The reason for a two-star review involved an incident with trying to cash a check, according to this user.
This user claims that dealing with a bounced check has been a nightmare. After having no luck getting the business that issued the check to fix the problem, _hawkins2428 went to a local branch of TTCU to find a solution.
After coming to an agreement, he or she began encountering increasing problems. Denied direct deposits, inability to cash checks, and defunct debit cards are a few of the complaints in this review. A whole three months had gone by at the time of the review and the problem still had not been fixed.
TTCU online banking login was of no help either, as this user’s funds were “held hostage,” making it difficult for them to pay the bills.
Now that the bad reviews are out of the way, let’s look at some four and five-star reviews of TTCU.
User “Rodney” has been a member of TTCU for nearly five years. “The sign up was very easy and the customer support is amazing,” this user says. Rodney claims that the only issue he experienced involved a deposit not going through, and it was solved promptly. He goes on to note that “everything else has been exceptional.” Rodney gives TTCU four out of five stars.
Another user by the name of “jksatsurf” also gives the credit union four out of five stars. He even goes so far as to say he is “lucky to be a part of the company.” Upon beginning his relationship with TTCU, he was amazed at the interest rates offered by the bank. This user did not use TTCU online banking login, however, because two branches were located near his residence.
Another 4-star review comes from a user who calls herself “mturk1.” Mturk1 was led to TTCU because of their affordable interest rates. She needed an auto loan and decided to go with TTCU.
She notes how she got a loan rate 4 points below what the car dealership was offering, and she got the loan approved with 24 hours. Dealing with TTCU for an auto loan was “one stop, very easy, no hassles.” Mturk1 ends the review by expressing gratitude to the credit union.
Now let’s move on to five-star reviews.
Aaron_jordan_1291 says that TTCU has “been a part of his life for the last four years” since he first moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He needed a bank with low interest rates for an auto loan. The customer service at TTCU was great, the staff fast and respectful. He received help through the entire process.
His family is even considering moving all of their financial activity to the credit union because “some of their products seem so close” to what his family needs. His use of TTCU online banking login has been as pleasant as his experience of calling the bank.
“Watersonsam” also gives TTCU five stars. He has been with the bank for sixteen years as of 2013. He says “they have always been great.” Even though he no longer lives in Tulsa, he still uses the bank via the TTCU online banking login. He has also used some of their services that don’t involve online banking with checking, savings, or CD accounts, including credit cards, auto loans, and a signature loan.
Watersonsam says he will always remember the first time he got an auto loan, presumably as a naïve young adult, and the loan officer at TTCU convinced him that he was paying too high of a rate and that it would be worth it to go back to his car dealership and negotiate. The bank saved him several thousand dollars with that advice, according to the review.
“Slamd1,” notes that TTCU has excellent customer service. His seems very fond of the staff and even goes so far as to say that his family “left the bank feeling as though we had been dealing with old friends.” He ends his five-star review by saying that he will continue to do business with the bank and would recommend them to any of his friends and family.
“Kelr2010,” says that she loves this bank. Yes, her review really starts by using the exact words “I love this bank!” Yet again, this user also remarks on the excellent customer service at TTCU. While she doesn’t mention the TTCU online banking login, she does say that all of the staff is helpful at all times and in all departments. She says they are “quick, give you personal, one-on-one attention, and politely take care of the problem at hand.
DepositAccounts.com also has a few reviews for TTCU. Out of the three total reviews available, all of them are five-star reviews. One of those reviews specifically mentions the TTCU online banking login.
“Ingridbarry,” posted in May of 2017 that she had been a member of TTCU for over thirty years. Her parents were teachers, enabling her to use the bank when she was a teenager. She has stuck with it ever since. She says she mostly banks online today with direct deposit checks from her job going into her checking account.
He even monitors his mother’s money market account that he has ownership of through power of attorney. He says “the online access is fairly easy, although using a mobile device is not always an effective way to bank, for me anyway.” So, while this user doesn’t like banking via mobile, he is pleased with the TTCU online banking login overall.
“Stacyrice55,” says she “really likes Tulsa Teacher’s Credit Union.” Her family has been banking with the credit union for a number of years as of March 2017. She notes that the checking accounts offered by the bank are comparable to others in her area and while they don’t have the best savings rate, it’s still better than many of their competitors. “Their online banking system is adequate for my needs,” she also remarks.
What We Think About TTCU Online Banking Login
Overall, it seems that TTCU online banking login is pretty good for those who are long-term educators. The reviews indicate that most of the people who experience problems with the service were first-timers unfamiliar with the platform.
Another re-occurring theme throughout the reviews we examined had to do with the customer service at TTCU. Almost every single five-star review mentioned the excellent customer service at the credit union.
People also note that the interest rates offered by TTCU for loans are a great deal. Considering banks make a significant portion of their income from interest earned on loans, it’s difficult to find loans that come with affordable interest rates.
It’s safe to assume that TTCU’s rates beat out many of their local competitors, as several reviewers mentioned how they had shopped around for loans and wound up choosing TTCU.
The online banking system at TTCU also appears to be worth using. While not every review mentions it, as is to be expected, those who did often gave it five stars. So, when it comes to online banking and customer service, Tulsa Teacher’s Credit Union makes the cut.
If you’re in the Tulsa region and need a loan, it looks like TTCU might be your best bet. If you need a regular bank account, that might be okay too, but there are plenty of other options that are probably just as good. While TTCU was originally only for teachers and other qualified education professionals, they have recently opened their services to the general public.
